ESB operates an extensive IT environment based primarily on SAP, Microsoft and IBM product sets. These products run on a Wintel/AIX platform, based on DB2, SQL Server and Oracle databases. Many services are provided from a Citrix farm based in ESB’s datacentres. Some small scale applications are cloud based or are part of a third party managed service.ESB now wishes to establish panels of companies to.(a) undertake defined packages of work in any/all of the technical areas outlined below and/or(b) supply personnel to augment our in-company resources on occasions.Services may be required in a range of activities including the following:— Project management / support,— Business process analysis,— Requirements definition / solution acquisition,— Application / system design,— Build / configuration,— Functional, automated and/or performance testing,— Implementation,— Application performance management,— Service management (ITIL),— IT infrastructure operation & management.It is envisaged that separate panels will be established for each of the following work areas:(1) SAP solutions & services;(2) Business intelligence solutions & services;(3) Internet & collaboration solutions;(4) Integration solutions;(5) IT infrastructure operation & management;(6) Supplementary services.

Short description:

ESB wishes to establish a panel of companies to:

(a) undertake defined packages of work in relation to SAP - ERP 6.0, ISU, Portal, CRM, XRPM, Mobile, Biller Direct, BW, SEM/BCS, Xi/Pi, Solution Manager, BASIS & Security, ABAP & integration with other non-SAP solutions;

(b) supply personnel to augment our in-company SAP resources on occasions.

Quantity or scope:

The purpose of ESB’s SAP Enterprise Support Service & SAP Projects Delivery Service functions is to design, build & run integrated SAP systems solutions used to support ESB group's business processes. ESB now seeks expressions of interest from candidates who would like to be a member of a SAP Enterprise Support Service panel to deliver packages of work from time-to-time and/or to provide specialist resources to augment ESB's in-house SAP Enterprise Support Service capabilities in certain areas. On occasion, this panel may also be required to augment ESB SAP Projects Delivery capabilities, in collaboration with varying ESB SAP Projects implementation partners.

The current specialist SAP Service areas can be summarised under the following headings:

(1) SAP ERP;

(2) SAP ISU;

(3) SAP Portal;

(4) SAP ERP for Utilities;

(5) SAP BW & SEM/BCS (including BI integration);

(6) SAP CRM;

(7) SAP Biller Direct;

(8) SAP XRPM;

(9) SAP Mobile;

(10) Integration HUBs primarily emloying SAP XI / SAP PI (including TIBCO solutions integration) and SeeBeyond;

(11) SAP BASIS;

(12) SAP Solutions Manager;

(13) SAP Security (including GRC);

(14) Development based on ABAP, WebDynpro and CRM WebUI;

(15) SAP System/Services Performance Testing;

(16) SAP Solutions Architecture planning and design;

(17) Services supporting integration of SAP Solutions with other non-SAP systems.

Other SAP based software & integration solutions may also be deployed by ESB over the coming years, including upgrades to deploy functional and product release versions, for which ESB may request similar support.

ESB’s Technology Solutions Dept. design, build & run Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to support ESB group's business processes. ESB now seeks expressions of interest from candidates who would like to be a member of a business intelligence panel to deliver packages of work from time-to-time and/or to provide specialist resources to augment ESB's in-house Business Intelligence capabilities.

The current BI product sets are:

(1) SAP Business Warehouse (BW);

(2) SAP Business Objects;

(3) SQL Server Data Marts;

(4) SSIS as ETL platform;

(a) undertake defined packages of work in relation to internet solutions (intranet, internet sites, portals) and collaboration solutions (Sharepoint, Adobe) to include mobile apps;

(b) supply personnel to augment our in-company internet/collaboration resources on occasions.

Quantity or scope:

ESB’s Technology Solutions Dept. design, build & run internet & collaboration solutions to support ESB group's business processes. ESB now seeks expressions of interest from candidates who would like to be a member of an internet & collaboration solutions panel to deliver packages of work from time-to-time and/or to provide specialist resources to augment ESB's in-house internet & collaboration capabilities.

Solutions will be based on:

(1) Sharepoint;

(2) Bespoke internet / intranet sites and applications;

(3) Mobile platforms (Smartphone, mobile fieldforce);

(4) Social media platforms.

Overall service requirements include:

(1) Information architecture and site design to appropriate usability and accessibility standards;

(2) Content management solutions (based on Sharepoint 2010);

(3) Search engine optimisation (SEO);

(4) Site analytics;

(5) Workflow and Forms design and implementation;

(6) HTML, HTML 5 and associated web presentation skills;

(7) Bespoke development based on Java, .NET, SQL Server, VBA/Excel;

(8) Integration into enterprise back-end solutions (SAP) using web services.

The current Infrastructure Service areas can be summarised under the following headings:

(1) Network management (LAN/WAN);

(2) Data storage (IBM XIV/EMC), archiving technologies;

(3) Citrix (Xenapp, Xen Server, Citrix provisioning, application and desktop virtualisation);

(4) Installations, monitoring and systems management (Windows, Unix, VMWARE);

(5) Applications/middleware installation and support;

(6 Database installation, configuration and management (SQL, Oracle, DB2);

(7) Client (Windows XP/Windows 7 etc, client encryption, upgrade and roll out projects);

(8) Monitoring tools;

(9) Cloud services (limited requirement);

(10) Solutions architecture, project management, planning and design;

(11) Service centre / help desk.

Quantity or scope:

ESB’s Technology Solutions Dept. provides specialist services to the business in the key activities of project management/support, business process analysis and testing, and also to augment, as required, project delivery capabilities in collaboration with varying implementation partners.

ESB now seeks expressions of interest from candidates who would like to be a member of a supplementary services panel to deliver packages of work from time-to-time and/or to provide specialist resources to augment ESB in-house capabilities.

The current areas covered include:

(1) Project management and support (PRINCE2);

(2) Business process analysis;

(3) Functional, automated and/or performance testing.

On occasion, this panel may also be used to cater for other similar requirements that may arise in the course of the contract.

ESB now wishes to establish panels of companies to.

(a) undertake defined packages of work in any/all of the technical areas outlined below and/or

(b) supply personnel to augment our in-company resources on occasions.

Services may be required in a range of activities including the following:
