As part of its Bus connects project, the National transport authority (NTA) plans to introduce standard branded bus stops throughout Ireland. There are approximately 12 000 bus stops throughout the State. The new bus stops will serve all operators, both public and private, and will replace the multiple stops at different locations that are a feature of the existing system.
