Multiple-Working System for Narrow-Gauge Industrial Trains (Bord Na Mona)
Bord Na Mona operates more than 180 locomotives on over 700 km of 3-foot gauge industrial railway network across its operations located in the Irish midlands. 80 of these locomotives are engaged in heavy-duty peat haulage. Of these 50 locomotives are scheduled to be refurbished with new engines, electrical control and telemetry systems over the next 2 years.
