Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: Service Concession - Online Shop to complement Bord Gais Energy Supply Home Services. Bord Gáis Energy acting through its Energy division currently provides appliance servicing products to customers through a standalone business unit known as Home Services. This unit is responsible for marketing and delivering maintenance and repair services on natural gas appliances – predominantly boilers. A strategy is now in place to expand this proposition into a wider energy services offering by introducing new products and services on a phased basis to become Ireland’s number one provider of home energy products and services. As part of this strategy, Bord Gáis wishes to develop an on-line energy efficiency shop to support the Bord Gáis Energy brand and the Home Services proposition through offering a range of energy efficiency products (such as energy efficient lightbulbs, ECO kettles, cylinder jackets, radiator panels etc) that fit within the brand values and support the strategy and vision for Home Services. Bord Gais Energy Home Services wishes to invite tenders from companies to fulfil and operate backend aspects of this online energy efficiency shop by delivering a full ecommerce, logistics and customer service solution. It is currently anticipated that the responsibilities of the successful service provider will include: — Deliver and maintain the online shop, — Product sourcing, — Warehousing / Inventory Management, — Customer payment processing, — Pick / Pack / Ship (Order fulfilment), — Returns Management, — Dealing with customer enquiries (via web and phone), — Management reporting and MIS. Bord Gáis Energy anticipates that it will promote the online shop through its website (www.bordgaisenergy.ie) and via a number of marketing communication channels as considered appropriate by Bord Gáis Energy. It is expected that the contract will be for a period of 3 years, with an option to extend the contract, at BGE’s sole discretion, by up to two years.
