A key deliverable of the government’s Food Vision 2030 plan is to attract global investment in aquaculture technology and to promote Ireland as a knowledge base for aquaculture technology and research to attract investment in our knowledge base. Developing and expanding our Aquatech sector delivers solutions for Irish seafood enterprises across a range of critical production processes as well as delivering opportunities for Irish based technology developers to access the rapidly expanding global aquaculture industry. BIM is keen to develop collaborations and connections between academia, industry and government partners to build on this potential, delivering sustainable jobs to coastal communities. The Contracting Authority wishes to contract a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to project manage and deliver an Irish based Aquatech Programme and provision of associated business acumen. The programme will be aimed at existing and new Aquatech start-ups/scale ups. The provision of bespoke business acumen to facilitate the development and expansion of client companies is key to the proposed programme. The programme will incorporate facilitation workshops, business collaborations, trade visits, accelerator type programmes and other identified mechanisms to drive the development of a vibrant Aquatech sector in Ireland with a global outlook.
