DAFM's IMT Forestry Team seeks a team of resources to assist it in its role to supportthe Departments business staff deliver Ireland's current Forestry Programme 2023-2027 and its active predecessors. The current Forestry Programme 2023-2027 is a โฌ1.3 billion plan to boost afforestation, biodiversity, and climate action by offering increased, tax-free grants and 20-year premiums for planting various forest types, including native woodlands, agroforestry, and commercial forests, supporting landowners to grow income while achieving national targets. The team will support 60+ paying schemes associated with this programme and predecessor programmes. DAFM Forestry is also the states largest land licencing body by some distance. Forestry licencing is a complex, nonlinear regulatory process with many internal and external stakeholders. The IMT Forestry team will also support and develop the IT processes around this. Tenderers should note that the roles being sought through this Request for Tender are existing positions within the Departmentโs IMT Group, which are currently being provided by incumbent service providers. The Department may assign any of the resources to other IMT teams, if required, throughout the term of the contract. The contract team will be expected to collaborate with contract resources from other vendors/Department staff from other teams. The IMT Forestry team will consist of a mixture of Department staff, contract resources from this Tender process and other vendors.
