Under Ireland's National Adaptation Framework, a number of Government Departments are required to prepare sectoral adaptation plans (SAPs) in relation to the priority areas they are responsible for. A number of plans for key sectoral areas were prepared and published in 2019, and are now in the process of being renewed and updated. NPWS is responsible for preparing the SAP related to Biodiversity, and must now prepare a new plan for publication in 2025.
