The Central Bank of Ireland (“Central Bank”) requires an outsourced service provider capable of providing end to end delivery of the Central Bank’s annual collector coin programme. The successful vendor will be responsible for: i) The development of a secure online sales system with integrated payments engine that is General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant. ii) The manufacture / Procurement of Collector Coin Product to the prescribed quality standard and themes confirmed as per the Banks standard. This includes coin, packaging and marketing materials. iii) The manufacture / Procurement of Circulating Coin to the prescribed quality standard and themes as per the Banks standard. This includes coin, packaging and marketing materials. iv) The provision of an order fulfilment service. v) The provision of first line customer service support to agreed customer service levels. vi) The provision of monthly sales and performance reporting feedback to the Bank. vii) The provision of design services for particular coins as directed by the Bank. viii) Delivery of marketing, promotion and communications activities to support sales of the Bank’s annual collector coin programme. ix) The provision of numismatic expertise such as optimising issuance limits, product offerings and market intelligence. The duration of the Contract is intended to be an initial term of five (5) years, although the Central Bank has the right to terminate it earlier. The Central Bank also has the right to extend the duration of the Contract by any period or series of periods up to a total of twenty four months, so that the Contract may ultimately have a maximum total duration of seven (7) years post implementation.
