As part of the Chemicals Unitโs 2018 market surveillance programme the Unit intends monitoring compliance with Entry no23 of Annex XVII of the REACh Regulation, in particular the limitation of the cadmium content of certain plastic polymers. Additionally, as part of the programme, samples will also be tested for compliance with the POPs Regulation (restricted substances requirements). Furthermore, it is envisaged samples will be checked for a suite a Contaminants of Emerging Concern e.g. phthalates.
The contract for the provision of the required services will be awarded to the Tenderer whose submission attains the highest score with respect to the evaluation criteria outlined in Section 6.2 and will be designated the Highest Ranked Framework Member for the provision of similar services for future contracts of this nature awarded under the framework.
