This removal of the East West traffic movement allows for the creation of a civic space in this area as per the objective of Dublin City Council's City Development Plan 2011-2017. Dublin City Council Environment and Transportation Department, in collaboration with the National Transport Authority, propose to progress the delivery of the traffic management measures and in doing so facilitate the creation of a civic plaza area in College Green.
This removal of the East West traffic movement allows for the creation of a civic space in this area as per the objective of Dublin City Council's City Development Plan 2011-2017. Dublin City Council Environment and Transportation Department, in collaboration with the National Transport Authority, propose to progress the delivery of the traffic management measures and in doing so facilitate the creation of a civic plaza area in College Green.
The scheme comprises of the traffic management measures as a result of the removal of all East West traffic movements, in the College Green Area except pedestrians and cyclists, which in turn allows for the creation of a civic space.
Dublin City Council has determined that it will be necessary to undertake an Environmental Impact Assessment and prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for the Project.
