EirGrid's current network equipment includes the following:

— Cisco Access Layer Switches,

— Cisco Core Switches (including firewall and IDS blades),

— Cisco Routers,

— Cisco ASA firewalls,

— Cisco Wireless LAN controllers and access points.

Quantity or scope:

This contract will include, but not be limited to, the provision of the following related services:

— Standard maintenance and lifecycle management of existing equipment,

— Helpdesk services (24x7),

— Remote and on-site support (24x7),

— 24x7 Emergency call-out service (Senior engineer within max of 4 hours to site),

— Provision and installation of replacement and spare parts,

— Network software support,

— Supply of network hardware and software,

— Software and hardware configuration changes,

— Equipment optimization,

— Equipment ‘Health Checks’ (2 per year),

— Advice and consultancy,

— Management of licensing and support fees to ‘proprietary’ hardware and software suppliers (Cisco Shared Support),

— Design, supply, installation and documentation of future equipment and solutions,

— Induction training to EirGrid IT staff.

EirGrid’s current security equipment includes the following:

— Nokia Firewall Appliances with Checkpoint FW1,

— Checkpoint Firewall Management Systems,

— Ironport Email Security Appliances,

— Ironport Web Security Appliances,

— Ironport Management Appliances,

— Bluecoat Proxy and Anti-Virus Appliances,

— RSA SecureID Appliances,

— Juniper SSL VPN Appliances.

Quantity or scope:

This contract will include, but not be limited to, the provision of the following related services;

— 24x7 Emergency call-out service (Senior Engineer within max of 4 hours to site),

— Supply of network security hardware and software,

— Management of licensing and support fees to ‘proprietary’ hardware and software suppliers,

Description of options: Option to extend the duration of the framework by an additional 12 months.
