They are to be manufactured to the following specification SGI BS 2789: 1985 Grade 500/7 (EN1563). The Contract the subject of this competition is a contract for 3 years with an option to extend by 2 years at IE’s discretion

2021-02-24Supply and Delivery of Ribbed Track Baseplates (Iarnrod Eireann-Irish Rail)
Irish Rail ‘IE’ have an on-going requirement for the supply and delivery of the following ribbed baseplates:
• vertical ribbed baseplates Fabricated Steel Grade S275JR (EN10025) or Cast SG Grade EN-GJS-500-7 (EN1563),
• 1:40 ribbed baseplates Fabricated Steel Grade S275JR or Cast SG Grade EN-GJS-500-7.
Requirements will be on an ad-hoc basis but based on previous usage the estimated annual requirements would be in the region of:
— 500 No Vertical ribbed baseplates,
— 5000 No 1:40 ribbed baseplates.
