Supply of fixed voice, mobile voice and data and wide area network data services to Coillte Group. The Coillte group request expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates for the provision of all, part, or a combination of our Telecomunications requirements which comprise the following: 1. Coillte’s data infrastructure spans 70 sites (1 in NI, 1 in GB, remainder in ROI). The corporate headquarters in Newtownmountkennedy (NTMK), Co. Wicklow acts as the data centre for the branch office (WAN) connections. The majority of the branch offices (60) connect over private DSL, the remaining connections are a mixture of leased line, ISDN and wireless technologies. Many branch offices (40) have ISDN backup connections. 2 offices have additional wireless backups. A significant number of the sites are located in remote rural locations. In addition, Coillte is responsible for the IT infrastructures (currently separate) of a subsidiary group – Coillte Panel Products (CPP). This comprises of four sites in ROI, UK & Netherlands. Current data links for these sites are with a variety of providers. Future data links for these sites are to be covered at tender stage. The main WAN & ISP data link into the NTMK HQ is a 6Mb/s licensed microwave connection. This is backed up by DSL and leased lines. Two ISDN PRIs are available for branch office backup connections. The vast majority (80 %) of WAN traffic is Citrix ICA traffic, requiring highly reliable connections. The most significant traffic besides this is print traffic. All branch offices access internet/file/email services through NTMK HQ via Citrix or otherwise. There is also a separate DSL data network that carries VoIP & Videoconference traffic between NTMK and 6 branch offices. There are approx 70 sites at which voice telephony services are provided ranging from single user, single line sites to our largest staffed site in NTMK with 100 staff. 3 office sites use PRI lines and the remainder a mix of ISDN and PSTN lines for managing inbound and outbound calls. There are 7 sites connected over DSL (separate to IT infrastructure) which facilitate desk to desk dialling and transfer of calls. PBX equipment is located at 14 sites which are all Siemens Hi-Path systems. Average number of calls per month is approx. 25 000 of which approx. 40 % are Coillte to Coillte office calls. The majority of the calls are national/local and there is a high proportion of calls to mobiles. There are 725 devices on the mobile account including Coillte Panel Products (CPP). Breakdown of devices is as follows: 510 handsets, 60 blackberry devices, 71 data connect/3G cards.
