Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: Dublin Region Telemetry System Framework Agreement. Dublin City Council, contracting on behalf of the local authorities using the Dublin Region Telemetry System (DRTS), seeks expressions of interest for the maintenance, support and enhancement of the system. It is proposed to establish a framework agreement with a single supplier over a period of 5 years, the scope of which will include the following elements: 1. Telemetry Application — Maintenance and Support, — Development, — Licensing, — Supply of System (if this is considered advantageous). General Support — Maintenance of a test system, — Training, — Troubleshooting including communications problems, — Protocol support, — Support for existing interfaces. Remote Terminal Units and ancillary equipment including modems — Supply (non-exclusive), — Interface with existing RTUs, — Potential interface with other RTUs, 4. Occasional operational assistance to local authority staff. — Programming, — Database configuration, — Field work, — Mimic generation. The framework agreement will be established on foot of a competition for an initial 3-year contract, which may include any or all of the elements outlined above. A more detailed description of Dublin City Council’s requirements will be issued to the candidates selected to participate in the competition. The system now advertised may potentially be used by other local authorities throughout Ireland.
