Trinity College Dublin, School of Medicine is seeking a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) based software solution online system for processing medical elective applications for student clinical placements in our affiliated teaching hospitals. Trinity is seeking an โout of the boxโ system including the specified functionality with a minimum of configuration. The system must be capable of providing different work-flow systems for different categories of applicants (internal / external / global partners) and to support multilateral partnerships and projects. The applicant's workflow must be capable of being flexibly adjusted for every programme. The initial requirement is to support clinical electives and support national and international mobility for medical students on short-term placements. For the avoidance of doubt, the system is targeted at visiting elective applications as opposed to timetabling of core clinical placements for internal Trinity school of medicine students. The system will initially support applications related to two hospitals, each with over 10 specialty departments but the system must have the ability to scale in the future. Trinity currently processes 300 applications across different categories and expects this number to grow. Each category must have separate workflow. Trinity anticipates expansion to other application processes across the university over time.
