NUIG.BUILD.014.10; Life Cyle Institute, project & cost management consulancy & design team consortia. NUI Galway intends to deliver a new building called the Life Cycle Building within 24 months in a single procurement process. With the aid of a retained Project & Cost Manager, the University wishes to use a design-and-build process to procure this project in parallel, novating a University-selected single point design consortium to the preferred main contract bidder following a competitive process. NUI Galway invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified firms to provide construction consultancy services in 2 lots: Lot 1: Appointment of a project management service including quantity surveying and cost consultancy (“PMQS”), for the full management of the above projects. Appointment of a single point design team consortium (“SPDT”) to prepare a planning application (and all other statutory consents) and D&B performance specification for the project, to be novated to the D&B contractor. Only one lot can be applied for in the competition.
