Framework agreement - ICT consultant support services. FรS, the training and employment authority was established in January 1988 under the Labour Services Act 1987. Its functions include the operation of training and employment programmes, the provision of an employment/recruitment service and an advisory and support service for business. FรS has a staff complement of almost 2 050 people and a network of offices and training centres throughout the country. The FรS Head Office Information Technology Department, who is seeking this service, is responsible for the following: โ€” maintaining distributed and central computer facilities for Head Office and Regions, โ€” maintaining local and wide area networks, โ€” development, maintenancea and support of applications supporting FAS business processes, โ€” training end-users in the use of information technology, โ€” keeping up-to-date with developments in computing technology, informing FรS of same and advising on the implications for the Organisation. FรS invite applicants to participate in a competition for the appointment of an ICT specialist to work with an internal project team on developing a learner certification system and also for the appointment onto a framework agreement panel for the development of future ICT projects, as well as maintenance of existing systems. It is estimated that the duration of learner certification system contract will be approximately 6 months and the Framework Agreement will be in existing for 4 years. The following are typically the skills, qualifications and experience required: IT skills to include. VB/Java/C#, JavaScript, CSS, XSL/XML. NET libraries, ADO.NET, document object model etc. Object oriented design/development. Microsoft SQL Server essential. Web development skills. Design patterns. SharePoint. Moodle skills. Web related Security issues. Typical work experience expected. Minimum of 3 years practical experience in web software development. Worked on a variety of small / medium projects. Direct responsibility for writing code. Education. Degree level. Personal skills. Good communicator. Confident/relaxed manner. Enthusiastic. Flexible. Positive attitude. Work well in fluid/evolving environment.
