The Health Research Board

The HRB is a State Agency under auspices of the Department of Health, the remit of the agency is to support and fund health and social care research and provide evidence to inform policy and practice. Strategic Objectives for Supporting Health Research The HRB strategy, Strategy 2021-2025: Health Research – Making an Impact, has identified six strategic objectives for the period ahead including Strategic Objective 6: ‘Develop the HRB as a progressive place to work, where our people are supported to be innovative and responsive’ with specific actions including: • Work with Governance and Data Protection Officer to maintain our General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) practices, while adhering to all existing GDPR policies • Ensure that our internal and public-facing systems are cyber secure by carrying out appropriate ICT security audits. • Be proactive in researching and implementing digital innovations that support the organisation. The HRB will use the new integrated system for HRB Staff, HRB Pensioners, HRB Board Members, HRB Committee Members, HRB Panel Members (reviewers), HRB Agency Staff and HRB Contractors. The HRB is now going to the market to procure a fully integrated HR System and Fully Managed Payroll Service that will provide the following essential functionality Core functional requirements summary: • Recruitment • Onboarding • Offboarding • Digital Files • Document Management and Storage • Training and Resource Planning • Performance Management • Full ‘Time and Attendance’ recording system in-line with Irish Public Sector requirements • Payroll Calculation • Payroll Payment and Management • Pensions Management • Reporting • Operational activities
