Framework agreement for NRA pavement management system. The NRA wishes to adopt best international practice in the asset maintenance management of its road network by implementing a pavement management system. By applying rules to the condition data held against each section, it is intended to identify potential maintenance treatments and these treatments can be prioritised by condition or in an order that will give best value for money in the long term. The PMS is expected inter alia to perform the following functions: Location and referencing of roads. โ€” Recording of an inventory of maintainable assets within the road, โ€” Recording of condition data collected from various visual and machine surveys, โ€” Projection of future condition based on historic deterioration, and on engineering models of deterioration for given designs, constructions types and pavement life profiles, โ€” Selection of options and requirements for remedial works, โ€” Costing of potential works, โ€” Management of budgets, โ€” Analysis of budgetary and maintenance needs for road networks, โ€” Prioritisation of potential works on a condition basis, โ€” Prioritisation of potential schemes of work using econometric principles, โ€” The adoption of such a system is in line with NRA overall policy to, "improve quality of life and national economic competitiveness by developing, maintaining and operating the national road network in a safe, cost effective and sustainable manner. to register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the eTenders web site at http://www.etenders.gov.ie/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=186472.
