Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Oracle Versions Upgrade Project. This notice is being published with a view to selecting a contractor to assist the Department of Education and Science ('the Department'), in the upgrading of its oracle forms and reports from version 6i to version 10g. Also included in the services required are the following: - the upgrading of a small number of separate instances of oracle discoverer in use in the Department; - the drafting of a system test plan and test scripts for the testing of the upgrades done under this project; - the drafting of technical specifications for a number of the software assets being upgraded, as a basis for system testing of the upgraded assets; - carrying out the system testing on those upgraded assets for which technical specifications have been compiled; - 'smoke' testing of the other upgraded assets; - 'bug fixes', re-testing and regression testing as necessary. further information and additional documentation relating to this notice may be available on the eTenders web site at http://www.etenders.gov.ie/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=46785.
