Tourism Ireland

Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Development and Maintenance of European Websites. Tourism Ireland Limited (hereinafter referred to as โ€œTourism Irelandโ€ or โ€œthe Contracting Authorityโ€) established under the framework of the Belfast Agreement, is the all-Ireland marketing company set up to market the island of Ireland as a holiday destination to international markets. The Contracting Authority has two key goals โ€“ to increase tourism to the island of Ireland and to support Northern Ireland to realise its tourism potential. The Frankfurt office of Tourism Ireland wishes to appoint a supplier to a single party framework agreement to develop and maintain a suite of websites for the Central and Eastern European markets for consumers. By this single party framework agreement, Tourism Ireland seeks to promote and encourage visitors from Central European markets (including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Russia and Czech Republic) to avail of the many holiday opportunities in Ireland. The websites play a key role in promoting Ireland to consumers as well as to media and trade. To this end, Tourism Ireland seeks the development and maintenance of a suite of websites which will serve as a โ€œvirtualโ€ presence in Central and Eastern European markets highlighting the variety & diversity of activities, experiences, accessibility and suitability of the island of Ireland as a preferred holiday destination. Initially Tourism Ireland requires the development of four websites for Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Russia. However it is envisaged that during the term of the contract Tourism Ireland may also require the developments of additional websites for other Central and Eastern European markets.
