The Consulate General (CG) of Ireland for the North of England was opened in Manchester in 2021 as part of the Global Ireland initiative to double the impact of Ireland’s global footprint. The CG is currently located in temporary premises in the Bloc Building, Marble Street and intends to move to a permanent space in the Hyphen Building on Mosley Street in 2024. This will require a fit-out, requiring a mid to high quality design solution in line with a modern European Representation and the mandate of the CG to represent Ireland and build the economic, political, educational and cultural work ties between Ireland and the North of England as well as engagement with the large Irish communities in the region. A Project Management company, partnering with an architectural design team, is now required to assist the CG in the management of the fit-out project from the design of the space to the procurement of a building contractor resulting in the delivery a completed office space. The successfully appointed Project Management-led Team will be required to coordinate and project manage the complete design and procurement of the building works from inception, planning and construction to completion and handover of the project. They will be required to administer and coordinate all works contracts on behalf of the Contracting Authority within agreed budgets and to certify that the works are completed in full compliance with the design and all statutory obligations as they apply.
