SEAI is seeking a suitably qualified Consultant who will be wholly responsible for the delivery of the Project Management and Engineering Consultancy Services for the development of the Atlantic Marine Energy Test Site Substation and be responsible for executing all required stages of the Project:
Stage (ii): Familiarisation and Outline Design Development
Stage (iii): Tender Action, Evaluation, Award
Stage (iv): Design & Construction
Stage (v): Handover of Works
Note that Stage (i) (Preliminary Design) has been completed.
The Atlantic Marine Energy Test Site (AMETS), is being developed by SEAI to facilitate testing of full-scale floating offshore wind (FOW) & wave energy converters (WECs) in an open ocean environment. Each FOW turbine and WEC will be connected via an electricity cable, under the seabed, to a dedicated substation on the shore and then connected to the local electricity grid.
