Bord Na Mรณna Powergen Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bord Na Mona plc, intends to construct a wind farm consisting of 24 wind turbine generators and associated infrastructure on a c.1908 Ha site spanning Derryadd, Derryaroge and Lough Bannow bogs located approximately 2 km east of the town of Lanesborough and 9 km south west of Longford Town in south County Longford, Ireland. It is intended that the wind farm will be developed following a successful bid into a Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) anticipated in 2021.
