Cork City Council

Cork City Council Library Service operates through 10 locations:
— the City Library on Grand Parade, home to the Reference Library, Local Studies Library, Rory Gallagher Music Library, Adult Lending Library and Children’s and Teens’ Library,
— 9 local libraries: Ballincollig, Bishopstown, Blackpool, Blarney, Douglas, Mayfield, Glanmire, Hollyhill and Tory Top,
— Douglas Library is in temporary premises with limited opening hours following a fire on 31 August 2019.
Membership is free and open to all, with no minimum joining age. Members may borrow up to 12 items at any one time from a huge range of books, CDs, DVDs. We provide a well-developed and well-regarded Reference and Local Studies service, including our comprehensive www.corkpastand present.ie website which documents and celebrates Cork’s rich history, and an extensive Music Library.
