The successful candidate shall deliver on each and all of the following areas:
โ€” assist in leading the Development of an ongoing ESB Networks Business Smart Metering Operating Model Architecture and in the creation of the ESBN AMI and Smart Grid Business and Technical Strategy,
โ€” provide advice on Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Smart Grid Industry intelligence,
โ€” recommend, contribute, develop, advise and collaborate on the AMI and Smart Grid High Level Technical Solution Architecture and Design, including Utility WAN and in-home channels,
โ€” recommend and advise on Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Smart Grid procurement.
The successful candidate shall recommend, contribute, collaborate, develop and advise in each and all of the following specific areas of AMI and Smart Grid:
โ€” solution strategy, design integration and assurance,
โ€” AMI IT and OT Design,
โ€” AMI Communications and Metering Design,
โ€” AMI and Smart Grid Business and Technical Architecture,
โ€” AMI and Smart Grid Data Reporting and Analytics,
โ€” end-to-end AMI and Smart Grid integrated design specification,
โ€” interoperability approach,
โ€” specification creation,
โ€” data model development,
โ€” IT and OT Security,
โ€” data architecture and privacy,
โ€” review of functional and technical specifications and other documents,
โ€” AMI Procurement,
โ€” change Management and Business Transformation,
โ€” other services as requested related to AMI and Smart Grid Programmes.

Duration: 24 months
Description of options:
At the date of issuing this PQQ it is envisaged that the framework agreement will be for an initial period of 24 months with an option to extend (subject to external factors applicable to continuity of the ESB Networkโ€™s Smart Metering Project), at the Contracting Entityโ€™s discretion, for further periods up to 24 months from the expiry of the initial period. The total framework agreement period will be for a maximum of four years. Contracts awarded under the framework agreement may extend beyond the term of the framework agreement.
