Cork County Council invites interested parties to tender for the maintenance and support of the Contracting Authority’s LAN WAN systems and services at all current and future Contracting Authority sites.
The Contracting Authority’s headquarters is located in the County Hall, Cork. The Contracting Authority has a highly centralised type IT topology with the majority of the Contracting Authority’s application servers located at the County Hall. Contracting Authority sites located throughout County Cork have connectivity to these servers over a high capacity WAN which is based mainly on wireless (SAF/SAF Freemile/Proxim/Orthogon/Microtek/RADWin/Ubiquity/Ceragon/ Breezecom) technology and Cisco switches and routers at wireless high sites. As the Contracting Authority has a highly centralised type IT topology, the provision of a high quality, well maintained, LAN WAN is essential to support data services at all Contracting Authority sites.
