Description of the procurement
The primary elements of the Ring Helvick Water Supply Scheme works are:
Connection to the existing Dungarvan water supply network.
Construction of a new pumping station building with a plan area of 31.1 m within the existing Springmount pumping station site, to pump 575 m/day to reservoir storage in the Ring Helvick area, at a rate of 16 litres/sec and 92m pumping head.
Construction of 2 No. reservoir sites (the lower reservoir site and the upper reservoir site) adjacent to Robert’s Cross in the Ring Helvick area.
Installation of a 6 150 m 250 mm OD SDR11 HDPE rising main with surge vessel from Springmount pumping station site to the lower reservoir site.
Construction of 2 No. 150 m reservoirs and associated infrastructure at the lower reservoir site.
Construction of a control building with a plan area of 47.2 m including chlorination plant, at the lower reservoir site.
Installation of pumping plant and equipment within the control building to pump 300 m/day from the lower reservoir site to the upper reservoir site.
Installation of 640 m of 125 mm OD SDR11 HDPE rising from the lower reservoir site to the upper reservoir site.
Construction of 1 No. 300 m reservoir and associated infrastructure at the upper reservoir site.
Installation of 5 970m of distribution pipework, comprising SDR17 HDPE pipework up to 180 mm OD.
Connection to existing water supply networks.
Installation of 40 m of 125 mm OD SDR11 HDPE pipework at Seaview Water Treatment Plant and connection to existing reservoir.
Civil engineering Works to decommission the existing Seaview Water Treatment Plant.
Partial width resurfacing of national and regional, and full width resurfacing local roads.
