All shared services are provided to each of these Business Units through a Business Services Centre (BSC).Within the BSC, IT Services (ITS) headed up by the CIO, has overall responsibility for all IT across ESB Business UnitsESB operates an extensive IT environment based primarily on SAP, Microsoft and IBM product sets. These products run on a Wintel/Linux/AIX platform, based on DB2/SQL Server and Oracle databases.IT Projects and Services are delivered through the โOne ITโ methodology, a PRINCE2 based process which supports each initiative from Concept through to Benefits Realisation.ITS is mandated as the Systems Integrator (SI) for all ESB IT projects. As the System Integrator, ITS has overall responsibility for the planning execution and delivery of all IT projects and services within ESBESB invites applications for the provision of external IT support, to work with in-house and multi-vendor teams, on a range of enterprise systems, business applications and technical architectures in a secure and data sensitive environment.ESB wishes to establish a multi supplier framework of companies to undertake defined packages of IT work. It is essential that the service providers have a proven track record of working collaboratively sharing responsibility with clients helping to deliver their IT strategy in previous client engagements. Tender Pre-Qualification Questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. A completed Questionnaire will be evaluated as the expression of interest.
The Pre-Qualification Questionnaire must be completed and returned to: mail to:ssprocurement@esb.ie quoting Reference No. SSCON2189A no later than 12:00 noon on 17.6.2015.
ESB will short-list a number of companies to proceed to RFT stage from these expressions of interest, based on the response to the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract selection procedure.
