The contract scope includes the development of the strategy for the telemetry programme. These services will include existing system assessment, review of market technologies, high level design optioneering, business case development and development of the overall commercial and procurement strategies and quality management processes.
Programme management services are also required to implement the strategy, which include a range of tasks including gathering detailed requirements, considering options for and recommending the design of the component systems for the service, taking the leading technical role in the procurements of the systems and managing the implementation of these, and the introduction of new services.
It is intended that the services will primarily be provided by the Lead Supplier. The Lead Supplier will provide supervisory services.
On occasion, if the need arises and at the discretion of Ervia, certain elements of work will be tendered for by means of a mini-competition between the Lead and Support Suppliers.
