DCU-13101-Sa – A contract with options for the provision of a Strategic IT Partner

Dublin City University (DCU) seeks expressions of interest for the provision of a Startegic IT Partner under the Competitive Dialogue Procedure. The core deliverable from this partnership will be the analysis and subsequent design and implementation support for significant cutting edge technological enhancements of all aspects of DCU's IT environment including the IT infrastructure and the identification of innovative ways of funding this transformation. During the contract period, the Partnership may be extended to include an enlarged Higher Education Community. The contract will consist of a number of options (6 in all) in addition to the core contract. These options (work packages) are described in the document attached (available to download from: www.etenders.gov.ie). The options may be exercised at any time during the life of the contract.

A grouping, if successful, may be required to contract as a single entity having joint and several liability but subject to the agreement of the contracting parties. If it is proposed to sub-contract the delivery of any portion of any contract under the framework, it may be a condition of award of contract that both the service provider and any proposed sub-contractor enter simultaneously into a collateral warranty with the contracting authority for the relevant portion of that contract.
