The European Union's INTERREG IVA cross border programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body with match financial assistance from the accountable departments in Ireland and Northern Ireland, are funding a cross border project called the VITAL Project. VITAL seeks to promote venture development through the matching of validated knowledge based ideas and technologies with experienced/seasoned entrepreneurs and SMEs (small-medium sized enterprises) and fast tracking the route to market. The regions involved are the six southern border counties of Ireland to include Counties Louth, Monaghan, Cavan, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal and Northern Ireland.
