This a strategic review which will inform Irish Aid policy and decision making in relation to possible future support for the fair and ethical trade systems. The purpose of the review is to examine the continued relevance of Irish Aid support for fair and ethical trade initiatives and propose, if appropriate, options for future support, including funding. This is
especially relevant at this time - as the programmes funded in East Africa and Central America are drawing to a close;
โ€” in light of Irish Aid priorities highlighted in One World, One Future: Ireland's Policy for International Development, the Hunger Task Force Report, and the Africa Strategy;
โ€” in the overall changing contexts in which fair and ethical trade systems operate
