Ordnance Survey Ireland (OSi) is currently migrating the existing OSi cartographic database - Prime, to the new real world object database - Prime2, and as a result the implementation of systems and processes to service the maintenance of Prime2 are required.
The attached document sets out the technical and commercial requirements for the provision of a geospatial management solution to maintain the data and associated capture flow lines of Prime2. Tender proposers are required to supply this new functionality and provide specified implementation, training and support services. Interfaces to / from other operational systems will also be required.

OSi require a Prime2 geospatial management solution able to deliver the conceptual business process depicted. The Prime2 geospatial warehouse is a key business service responsible for maintaining the currency and integrity of geospatial data within the Prime2 database and making it available to internal production systems. The Prime2 database provides an extensible and product-neutral geospatial data store of high-quality large-scale data covering the Republic of Ireland.The Prime2 geospatial warehouse management solution will use automated business processes to maintain the data store supported by re-usable business services to deliver data extracts according to planned revision schedules and cycles, to field-based and office-based editors. Additionally, the Prime2 geospatial warehouse makes newly captured data available to internal customers within 24-hours of the submission of edits.Complementing the warehouse are auxiliary systems for data quality sampling, disaster recovery, process monitoring, configuration management, support and operations.

On-demand extraction of data from Prime2 to given spatial and non-spatial constraints.

Integration with existing geospatial photogrammetric, field survey and editing tools.

On-demand import of changes from the Editing subsystem into a long transaction within the Prime2 database.

Rich attribution, relational and topographical geospatial validation of changes within a transaction against the Prime2 database.
6. Conflict resolution
Efficacious resolution of conflicts that occur with optimistic locking strategies in shared databases.
7. Business process orchestration
Job life cycle management within an industry standard business process execution environment.
8. Business process monitoring
Capture and presentation of management and business information in real time and from historic data.

Preservation and maintenance of object and component metadata throughout the business process.
