Fáilte Ireland-National Tourism Development Authority

Fáilte Ireland is the National Tourism Development Authority, established by the Irish Government in May 2003 to guide and promote the development of tourism as a leading indigenous component of the Irish economy. To this end, Fáilte Ireland, working in partnership with the tourism industry, provides an extensive range of support services and business solutions designed specifically to develop and sustain Ireland as a high-quality and competitive tourism destination.
Fáilte Ireland works in partnership with Tourism Ireland (who promote Ireland as a holiday destination to overseas markets) and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (responsible for tourism development and marketing in Northern Ireland). It also leads an extensive domestic holiday campaign via ‘Discover Ireland,’ which features comprehensive information and listings for Irish accommodation, activities, events, tourist attractions and Irish holiday special offers.
This is a single party framework agreement for the management of general website content updates for Discover Ireland for 2012 – 2014.
The successful service provider will also be required to provide support and advice to a range of website contributors and stakeholders both internal and extrernal to Fáilte Ireland, covering areas including Kentico CMS usage, web writing/editorial, and photo and video management.

Registration is free of charge. The contracting authority will not accept responsibility for information relayed (or not relayed) via third parties 2) This is the sole call for competition for this service. 3) The contracting authority will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates, participants or tenderers. 4) Establishment of the framework will be subject to the approval of the competent authorities. 5) If for any reason it is not possible to conclude the framework agreement with the designated successful tenderer emerging from this competitive process; or if having concluded the framework agreement the contracting authority considers that the successful tenderer has not met, or cannot meet its obligations; the contracting authority reserves the right to admit the next highest scoring tenderer to the framework on the basis of the same terms at any time during the tender validity period. This shall be without prejudice to the right of the contracting authority to cancel this competitive process and/or initiate a new contract award procedure at its sole discretion. 6) At its absolute discretion, the contracting authority may elect to terminate this procurement process, the framework agreement or any contract awarded under the framework agreement at any time. 7) Without prejudice to the principle of equal treatment, the contracting authority is not obliged to engage in a clarification process in respect of questionnaires with missing or incomplete information.
