Framework Agreement for the Provision of IT Services and Resources

Bord Gais ร‰ireann is looking to establish multi-party framework agreements for the provision of services and resources at varying experience levels to their IT function. The lifetime of these framework agreements will be for a duration of up to 4 years with an option to extend for a further year to:
โ€” Implement specific packages of work,
โ€” Participate in and provide services to project teams as representatives of the relevant IT sub-department,
โ€” Periodically augment our existing company IT resources for varying durations in the following operational areas:
โ€” IT Strategy and Architecture,
โ€” IT Business Alignment and PMO,
โ€” Solutions Delivery,
โ€” Infrastructure and Operations,
โ€” IT Service Management.
The types of services that will be required will include:
โ€” Programme/Project Management,
โ€” Business Analysis,
โ€” Lean Process Analysis,
โ€” Service Management (ITIL),
โ€” Enterprise Architecture,
โ€” Functional and Application Analysis, Design and Development,
โ€” Test and Performance Management,
โ€” Database Management,
โ€” Windows and Unix Management,
โ€” Virtualisation Management,
โ€” Security,
โ€” Networking,
โ€” IT Infrastructure,
โ€” Telephony and telecommunications.
BGEโ€™s IT environment comprises of multiple vendor product and hardware sets, including Microsoft, HP, Oracle, and IBM. These products run on Wintel and Unix platforms utilising Oracle, SQL Server and Progress database systems. Our critical applications comprise of Maximo, Syclo, Click, Oracle Applications (EBS Suite and CC&B), Oracle Middleware, and Microsoft Enterprise Applications. These systems are hosted either in-house in BGEโ€™s data centres or externally hosted through strategic partners. There is substantial use of VMware virtualisation throughout the IT landscape.
