Bus Eireann proposes awarding a Contract for the supply of a turnkey managed solution to cover installation, hardware maintenance, software maintenance and end user support. All equipment must have already been deployed in a bus environment within the EU. Bus Eireann invites companies with experience in the provision of Wifi services to apply for this project. The initial project will cover approximately 300 buses in the Greater Dublin Area (GDA) and Gateway cities but responses should reflect the potential for outfitting the entire fleet of up to 700 buses.

If a request to participate is submitted by a group of suppliers, then those suppliers, if awarded the contract shall assume such legal form by incorporation, partnership, or otherwise so as to enable them to contract as a single entity. It will be necessary for the satisfactory performance of the contract for the group to state a single addressee responsible for the receipt and processing of the participating orders and resolving any problems relating to the contract.
In order to be considered for participation in a tendering competition for this contract suitably qualified interested parties must complete and submit the pre-qualification questionnaire provided to be included on the tender list.
Depending on the quality of pre-qualification details submitted, Bus Eireann may invite between five and eight entities to participate in a tendering competition for the contract.
Following receipt of tenders, Bus Eireann may negotiate as necessary with one or more tenderers and will award the contract to the most economically advantageous offer(s) received for this project.
