GMIT proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of nine (9) single-operator framework agreements for general small works and maintenance service as follows:

Short description:

Maintenance of Hot & Cold water distribution network and associated sanitary ware together with general upgrade and refurbishment works.

Quantity or scope: — The scope includes for general plumbing services only for hot & cold water distribution, toilets, kitchens, canteen and plant areas and similar locations,— Heating works are not included generally. These are covered by a separate contract. Mostly the works can be planned and contained during normal working hours. However a few occasions arise each year in which an emergency call out or out of hours work is required.

The GMIT reserves the right to exercise the option referred to in Article 31(4)(b) of the Public Sector Directive / Article 32(5)(f) of the European Communities (Award of Public Authorities Contract) Regulations 2006 (S.I. No. 329 of 2006) to award to the Consultant new works consisting in the repetition of similar works to those entrusted to the operator, provided such works are in conformity with a basic project for which a Contract was awarded. This option may only be used by the GMIT during the three years following the conclusion of a Contract under each framework.
