Multi-party framework agreements for destination development experts and facilitators

Fáilte Ireland-National Tourism Development Authority

Fáilte Ireland is the National Tourism Development Authority, established by the Irish Government in May 2003 to guide and promote the development of tourism as a leading indigenous component of the Irish economy. To this end, Fáilte Ireland, working in partnership with the tourism industry, provides an extensive range of support services and business solutions designed specifically to develop and sustain Ireland as a high-quality and competitive tourism destination.
Fáilte Ireland works in partnership with Tourism Ireland (who promote Ireland as a holiday destination to overseas markets) and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (responsible for tourism development and marketing in Northern Ireland). It also leads an extensive domestic holiday campaign via ‘Discover Ireland,’ which features comprehensive information and listings for Irish accommodation, activities, events, tourist attractions and Irish holiday special offers.
This is a multi-party framework agreement with two lots.
Lot 1.
Prior to the commencement of the development of the destination development plan for a number of Destinations Fáilte Ireland requires an independent view as to:
What the destinations stands for the unique selling point for the destination.
The vision for the destination (defined as the benefit (economic, environmental, societal) that will accrue from appropriate and successful development of the destination.).
Please note: experts maybe required to work on one or a number destinations across the country.
Lot 2.
Fáilte Ireland invites tenders to form part of a framework of facilitators from which it can engage services as required with regard to the facilitation of all or some of the stages, 1 to 4, of the above outlined below.
Stage 1 Stakeholder consultation and work-shopping leading to confirming the vision for the destination and the establishment of the Destination Development Steering Group.
Stage 2 Initiation and development of 3-year Destination Development Plan & Development of annual operational plans.
Stage 3 implementation stage.
Stage 4 review & feedback.
