Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: National Plan for Radiation Oncology - PQQ Supply Contract. The provision of Radiation Oncology facilities including supply, delivery, design, construction of the equipment & facilities , and provision of staff training simultaneously on two sites. The facilities will include the following on each site: 4 no. demountable bunkers each capable of housing any industry-standard linear accelerator, plant rooms and control rooms, 4 no. linear accelerators and associated equipment, accommodation for 2 industry standard CT Simulators, and associated equipment, Accommodation for Treatment Planning, (Target volume, Treatment planning & checking/Evaluation) & associated equipment, Accommodation for hospital staff for multidisciplinary case conference, staff education etc., Patient changing rooms & waiting areas, Reception, administration & staff accommodation, associated building engineering services, Associated hard & soft landscaping. Accommodation for HDR Brachtherapy treatment may be included on both sites, and larger bunkers to accommodate TBI may be included in St James's. Stereotactic Radiation Treatments may also be provided at Beaumont Hospital. The equipment to be supplied within the contract includes items which require to be built-in or, whilst not built-in have particular space, structural and/or mechanical and electrical services requirements.
