Enviro Grind (the Contracting Authority) is a family run recycling company and pioneer in the Island of Ireland Bioeconomy. Enviro Grind specialises in the reprocessing of waste residues that would otherwise be sent to landfill. The company has extensive experience in processing organic residues, including wood waste, gypsum waste, and organic bio-wastes such as food waste, garden and park waste, and fish waste. Enviro Grind also has significant expertise in the development of high-value, peat-free products. Enviro Grind is a member of the consortium delivering The REGENERATE Project (REcyclinG phosphatEs and NitrogEn fRom AgriculTural rEsidues). Funded under The Shared Island Bioeconomy Demonstration Initiative, REGENERATE aims to demonstrate a scalable, circular, agricultural model that optimally harnesses and separates local agricultural residues from digestate to maximize the value derived from these nutrients. REGENERATE is committing to creating economically and environmentally sustainable bio-based products which can enhance shared industrial competitiveness while contributing to the transition to carbon neutrality on this island. The Contracting Authority is seeking tenders for the supply, including design, installation, commissioning, and training of a fully integrated dosing, mixing and packaging system for the production of growing media. The system shall be capable of accurately dosing and blending a range of organic and mineral raw materials, including fibrous materials and fertilisers, to produce a consistent, homogeneous, and commercially saleable growing media, and shall include an integrated packaging solution capable of forming, filling, sealing, and handling bags of finished product for distribution. The solution shall support sustainable production and minimise material loss.
