Seat Belt Retro Fit Programme. Subject to the necessary and relevant approvals, the Contracting Authority wishes to award a framework agreement for a panel of suitably qualified and competent contractors with the capability of supplying and/or fitting two point (lap) seat belts and any associated fixings to nominated vehicles within it fleet. The vehicles nominated will be contained in the ITT documents. Under this frame-work agreement it will be the intention of the Contracting Authority to set up a panel of suppliers to supply and/or fit, on demand, any quantities required by the Contracting Authority. All seats, seat belts and associated fixtures, fittings and anchorages supplied and/or fitted under this Agreement must comply with current EU and UK standards as they relate to the statutory legislation regarding the fitting of seat belts to vehicles conveying children on a regular basis. A Certificate of Compliance will be required from the Contractor for any items supplied and/or fitted under this requirement. Where fitting and fixing applies, any contract awarded under this requirement will be fleet specific and will require contractors to execute the works at agreed sites in the Republic of Ireland. It is intended that those awarded contracts under this requirement will provide a team of capable, qualified and competent fitters sufficient in size to complete the work programme within an agreed time frame. All works completed by the Contractor will require a final sign off certifying the quality and compliance of work. The Contractor will be responsible for the disposal (where applicable) of any seats taken from the bus fleet in accordance with the applicable legislation.
