HRI is responsible for the administration and control of Horse Racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and the HRI Racecourse Division (Leopardstown, Navan, Fairyhouse and Tipperary). Tote Ireland offers betting on horse-racing from the 25 race tracks through its call centre and internet site. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Horse Racing Ireland. HRI is now seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates to provide Secure Cash in Transit and holding facilities for Tote Ireland at every racecourse in Ireland throughout the racing calendar year (up to 300 fixtures per year, occasionally 2 fixtures per day to include both race-day and non race-day events. The contract will also require but is not limited to the following: (a) Availability to service race meetings on Saturdays/ Sundays/Bank holidays and late evenings fixtures. (b) Collection of banknotes from local bank cash centres and delivery of same to racecourses. (c) Lodgement of returns to bank after racing, either same day or next day. (d) Storage facilities for large coin stock and monthly balance of stock held. (e) Flexibility to service additional fixtures re-arranged at short notice throughout the year.
