Provision of High-Performance Computing services for interim Irish National HPC service

University of Galway ID 1400

The required service shall provide an enhanced replacement service for the current Irish National HPC Service for academic researchers operated by ICHEC. Its primary objective is to provide researchers with high performance compute cycles and data storage capacity via a familiar environment and toolchain (collectively referred to hereafter as the System) so as to minimise the disruption and re-learning for users and staff of ICHECโ€™s current system. As an interim service bridging a gap until Irelandโ€™s new mid-range EuroHPC system is deployed in 2025, this service must also act as an on-ramp to the wider EuroHPC ecosystem, enabling researchers to scale their applications and port to accelerated architectures.

Deadline

The time limit for receipt of tenders was 2023-09-29. The procurement was published on 2023-08-02.
