Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Portloman Water Treatment Plant - Operation and Maintenance Contract. Westmeath County Council wishes to invite Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to operate and maintain the existing water treatment plant at Portloman, Mullingar. Expressions of Interest must be provided in the form set out in the Prequalification Document, available from the Address for Further Information given in this Notice. This contract involves the operation and maintenance of the existing water treatment plant (ultrafiltration), currently producing approximately 22 million litres per day (MLD), and contains the following main elements: — Raw water intake mains (2 x 600mm diameter, gravity), — 3 duty/standby submersible raw water pumps, — 3 drum screens (100 micrometre), — 8 primary membranes and associated feed pumps, — 2 secondary membranes and associated feed pumps, — Chemical dosing systems, — Local PLCs and Central SCADA System, — Treated water high lift pumps. This contract has an expected duration of between 5 and 7 years and may include some capital works to be completed on a Design Build basis by the appointed Operation and Maintenance Contractor. Elements of the existing plant will require replacement during the currency of the Contract in line with a Capital Replacement Fund, and other Design Build works are also envisaged to enhance the performance of the existing treatment plant.
