Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Provision of Contract Cleaning Services to HRI Racecourses. Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established by the Irish Government under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act 2001. It is a commercial semi-state body which took over the functions previously carried out by the Irish Horse Racing Authority. HRI is responsible for the administration and control of Horse Racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and HRI Racecourses Ltd (Leopardstown, Navan, Tipperary and Fairyhouse). This contract is divided into Lots and tenderers can apply for one or both lots. This must be clearly shown in separate responses. Leopardstown Racecourse. Fairyhouse Racecourse. Leopardstown Racecourses had attendances of approx 166, 000 across 23 race meetings and Fairyhouse had approx 71,000 across 22 race meeting in 2008. Other non race day events that take place at the Racecourses include concerts, exhibitions, markets etc. Leopardstown Racecourse is approx 100,000 sq ft, and there is a requirement to clean all of the enclosure including stand steppings, seating areas and balconies, along with the picking of papers etc in all car parks after each race day.There are two stands which are interconnected, Weighroom, Jockeys room,2-Press rooms, weighroom canteen, stewards room, 6-bars, a number of function rooms including the Pavillion, 3/4 Restaurants, snack areas, 28 Private Suites, 12 toilet areas and numerous corridors, etc. Fairyhouse Racecourse has two main stands, the Powers Stand and the Jameson Stand, each comprising of a ground, first and second floors, other areas include Self Service Restaurant, Weighroom, Grooms canteen, Medical Centre, Press Room, Open stand and an Administration building.
