The Newtown Road Cycle Scheme is located on the R769 Regional Road, on the western side of Wexford town. The project commences at the New Ross Road Roundabout west of the Maldron Hotel and extends for 1.06km eastwards 60m past the junction with the Coolcott’s Lane. The scheme consists of the reconfiguration of the existing pavement, in reducing the width of the existing road to provide a minimum of 1.8m wide segregated footpath and minimum of 1.75m segregated cycle track on both sides of the road. The scope of works of this contract involves : - Provision of a new link road; - Site Clearance; - Safety Barrier; - Drainage; - Earthworks; - Pavements, Kerbs, Footways and Paved Areas; - Traffic Signs and Road Markings; - Public Lighting; - Landscaping; - Services protection and diversions; - Footpath and cycletrack works - Bus bay design
