Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) ("the Employer") is the Government Agency responsible for the provision of Light Rail, Metro and Integrated Ticketing Services in Ireland. RPA has designed a Smart Card Interface Module (SCIM) an electronic assembly, which when integrated into card reading devices will provide a common interface for the ITS smart cards (i.e. to be a common smart card reader for the scheme). RPA is now seeking a company or companies to provide the services in relation to the SCIM. The contract may include, but is not limited to the following services: 1. To manufacture the SCIM 2. To modify or re-design (if required) the SCIM physical hardware 3. To modify or re-design (if required) the SCIM firmware 4. Associated services It is envisaged that a shortlist of candidates between 3 and 7 will be invited to tender.
