Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Design and Construction of Mater Hospital Expansion Works. MCHD requires the design, construction and maintenance for 12 months of a new Hospital extension adjacent to and connecting to a functioning hospital, and beside the Mater Private Hospital, on a 6.2-hectare site on the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital Campus in the inner city of Dublin. The new extension comprises new multi-storey, acute, tertiary referral teaching hospital buildings and associated site works and services including an underground Car Park, excavations, basements, associated site works and services, site clearance, demolitions, alterations, construction of a new Energy Centre building and construction interface with the new Metro North Underground Station (Metro Box) on the Mater site and ancillary services including design and inspection, health and safety (full compliance with current health and safety legislation from date of appointment until completion of contract), quality control and other required services.
