Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: Lower Ground Floor Check-in Facility. The contract works involve the refurbishment and development of the existing basement area of the Main Terminal Building into a new passenger check-in facility incorporating a new baggage carousel. The gross floor area is approximately 2 132 m2. Elements of the works may include existing service diversions, foundations, structural steel, cladding, glazing, doors, lift refurbishment, escalators, baggage carousel, mechanical/plumbing/HVAC works, electrical works to include fire alarm security and communications, fire protection, mechanical and electrical equipment, signage and internal finishes and decorations. The works will be procured via a Main Contractor with Specialist Contractors for Baggage Carousel, Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC and Fire Protection nominated by the Contracting Entity. The Main Contractor will subsequently be responsible for all sub-contracting/procurement of the appropriate elements of the works from the Specialist Contractors, his direct sub-contractors/vendors, with the exception of specialist airport systems, which will be procured directly by the Contracting Entity.
